Discover the wonderfully absorbing art of fabric mosaic with Tembo, inspired by the traditional Japanese art of Kinusaia, but with an African twist. Instead of sewing, each piece of cloth is cut to shape and its edges are tucked into fine grooves in a foam board, where they hold firmly in place. Piece by piece, the picture builds until the board disappears and only the fabric remains.
No needle, no thread, no sewing machine. Just fabric, patience and the quiet satisfaction of watching him take shape.
